About Golmento
Golmento is a moment database for football. Start from whatever you remember – a player, a year, a score, “the equaliser” – and find the goal, with official video and the score timeline.
Coverage
- Every goal from 2017 to the latest matchweek: J1, J2 and J3 Leagues, the Levain Cup, the 100 Year Vision Leagues, promotion/relegation series and play-offs, the FUJIFILM SUPER CUP, the U-21 J.League, the Emperor's Cup and the AFC Champions League (including ACL Elite and ACL Two). Based on official J.League and JFA records, so no goal is missing. The Emperor's Cup is covered from the first round, including university and amateur sides.
- Beyond Japan: LaLiga (from 2023-24), the Bundesliga (from 2021-22), Serie A (from 2022-23) and the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers (CONMEBOL) for the 2026 tournament. These use match highlights from official league and club channels, and some videos may be unavailable in certain countries.
- Legendary goals: historic goals from Pelé at the 1958 World Cup to the 2010s, selected one by one from footage published on official channels.
- Video differs by era. From 2017 to 2019 each goal has its own official clip; from 2020 onwards we link the match highlights, because the J.League stopped publishing one-clip-per-goal in September 2019. Every page states whether you are watching the goal itself or the match highlights.
- For a small share of goals (around 2%) no official video exists. Those pages still carry the record and the score timeline, and say that no footage is available.
- J.League seasons before 2017 are not covered because almost no official footage has been published (legendary goals aside). They will be added when it becomes available.
Sources
- Match data (scores, scorers, minutes, venues, attendance) comes from official J.League records. LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A and CONMEBOL qualifiers data comes from English Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0); each match page links to its source article.
- All video is from official YouTube channels (J.League, JFA, DAZN, CONMEBOL, clubs and others), shown through YouTube’s official embed. Golmento does not store or serve any video or still images; thumbnails are referenced from YouTube.
- The short context paragraph on each goal page is drafted with AI using only facts from the official record (score timeline, minute, scorer), then checked automatically against the record for minutes, scores and names. Nothing outside the record (shot type, emotions) is added.
Unofficial
Golmento is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with the J.League, LALIGA, CONMEBOL, FIFA, any club, or YouTube. Club and player names are used for factual description and belong to their respective owners.
