The match, goal by goal
1 of the 2 goals came after half-time.
40' Sebastian Polter (VfL Bochum) 1-0
VfL Bochum hosted Borussia Dortmund at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion on December 11, 2021, in Round 15 of the Bundesliga, and the deadlock lasted until the 40th minute. Sebastian Polter put the home side ahead 1-0, giving Bochum the lead going into half-time. That advantage held for most of the second half as well, shaping the bulk of the afternoon in the hosts' favor.
85' Julian Brandt (Borussia Dortmund) 1-1
Borussia Dortmund left it late, finding the equalizer in the 85th minute. Julian Brandt's goal made it 1-1 and wiped out the lead VfL Bochum had held since the 40th minute. The score stood until the final whistle, so the visitors left with a point from a late leveler, while Bochum saw a win slip away in the closing stages.
