Borussia Dortmund's home meeting with RB Leipzig on Matchday 23 of the Bundesliga, played on 2023-03-03 at Signal Iduna Park, opened up in the 21st minute when Marco Reus broke the deadlock. His goal made it 1-0 and handed the hosts control in the first half. Dortmund never relinquished the lead from that point on and went on to win 2-1.
39' Emre Can (Borussia Dortmund) 2-0
Eighteen minutes after Reus's opener, Emre Can doubled the advantage in the 39th minute to make it 2-0. The goal allowed Borussia Dortmund to take a two-goal cushion into half-time. RB Leipzig pulled one back after the break but could not draw level, which made Can's strike the winner in a 2-1 victory.
