35' Dion Drena Beljo (FC Augsburg) 1-0
The Bundesliga Matchday 3 meeting between FC Augsburg and VfL Bochum at WWK Arena was goalless until the 35th minute, when Dion Drena Beljo put the hosts in front. His goal made it 1-0 to Augsburg. The home side held that advantage for most of the first half, but it would not survive the interval.
45'+3 Takuma Asano (VfL Bochum) 1-1
Trailing on the road, VfL Bochum drew level in first-half stoppage time when Takuma Asano scored in the 45+3rd minute. The equaliser made it 1-1 just before the break and erased Augsburg's lead. It was the first of two goals Asano would score on the day.
62' Ermedin Demirović (FC Augsburg) 2-1
With the second half level at 1-1, Ermedin Demirović restored FC Augsburg's lead in the 62nd minute. It was the second time the hosts had gone ahead in the match, making it 2-1. That advantage, however, lasted only two minutes.

Only two minutes after Augsburg had moved back in front, Takuma Asano struck again in the 64th minute to pull VfL Bochum level once more. Twice Bochum had fallen behind, and both times it was Asano who brought them back. His second goal of the afternoon made it 2-2, which stood as the final score.
