4 of the 5 goals came after half-time.
45' Hugo Ekitike (Eintracht Frankfurt) 0-1
With Bundesliga Matchday 10 still goalless at MHPArena, Eintracht Frankfurt broke the deadlock in the 45th minute. Hugo Ekitike's strike made it 0-1 to the visitors just before the interval. That opener set the tone for an afternoon in which Frankfurt would control the scoreboard.
55' Nathaniel Brown (Eintracht Frankfurt) 0-2
Ten minutes into the second half, Frankfurt doubled their advantage. Nathaniel Brown scored in the 55th minute to make it 0-2. Having taken the lead on the stroke of half-time, the visitors added a second early after the restart, leaving VfB Stuttgart with ground to make up at home.
62' Omar Marmoush (Eintracht Frankfurt) 0-3
Omar Marmoush made it 0-3 in the 62nd minute, becoming Frankfurt's third different scorer after Ekitike and Brown. The goal stretched the visitors' lead to three. With Stuttgart later pulling two back, it would prove to be the winner.
86' Josha Vagnoman (VfB Stuttgart) 1-3
Trailing by three, VfB Stuttgart finally got on the scoresheet in the 86th minute. Josha Vagnoman's goal made it 1-3, the home side's first of the match. Little time remained, but it sparked a late push.
90' Nick Woltemade (VfB Stuttgart) 2-3
Four minutes after Vagnoman's goal, Nick Woltemade struck in the 90th minute to make it 2-3. Stuttgart had scored twice in quick succession to close the gap to a single goal. The equaliser never came, however, and the home side lost 2-3.
