42' Andrej Kramarić (TSG Hoffenheim) 1-0
TSG Hoffenheim broke the deadlock at PreZero Arena in the 42nd minute, when Andrej Kramarić put the hosts 1-0 up against 1. FC Union Berlin on Bundesliga Matchday 20. Coming late in a goalless first half, the opener proved to be the winner: Hoffenheim never gave up the lead on the way to a 3-1 victory.
45' Andrej Kramarić (TSG Hoffenheim) 2-0
Only three minutes after opening the scoring, Kramarić struck again in the 45th minute for his second goal of the afternoon. The strike made it 2-0 and doubled Hoffenheim's advantage before the break. Both of the home side's first-half goals came from Kramarić in a short spell late in the half.
47' Own goal (TSG Hoffenheim) 3-0
Two minutes into the second half, an own goal credited to Hoffenheim made it 3-0. Coming so soon after Kramarić's pair just before the interval, it meant the hosts had scored three times in a span of five minutes either side of half-time. For the visitors from Berlin, the restart brought only a heavier deficit.
68' Rani Khedira (1. FC Union Berlin) 3-1
Trailing by three, 1. FC Union Berlin finally got on the scoresheet in the 68th minute through Rani Khedira, pulling one back to make it 3-1. It was the visitors' only goal of the match, and the score did not change again as Hoffenheim closed out a 3-1 win.
