The match, goal by goal
2 of the 3 goals came after half-time.
18' Nikola Vlašić (Torino) 0-1
Torino struck first at the Stadio Giovanni Zini on 2022-08-27, with Nikola Vlašić scoring in the 18th minute to make it 0-1. The away side never surrendered that lead over the remaining minutes. Their 1-2 victory over Cremonese made Vlašić's first-half opener the winning goal.
65' Nemanja Radonjić (Torino) 0-2
Holding a one-goal lead after the break, Torino doubled it in the 65th minute through Nemanja Radonjić, making it 0-2. The cushion proved important. Cremonese pulled one back in the 80th minute, so without Radonjić's goal the match would have ended level.
80' Leonardo Sernicola (Cremonese) 1-2
Two goals down at home, Cremonese finally found a reply in the 80th minute when Leonardo Sernicola made it 1-2. The goal set up a tense finish with the hosts needing one more to draw level, but no equaliser came. Sernicola's strike was Cremonese's only goal in a 1-2 defeat.
