27' Roberto Soriano (Bologna) 0-1
With the first half still goalless, Roberto Soriano put visiting Bologna ahead in the 27th minute to make it 0-1. The goal gave Bologna a first-half lead at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, but it would not be enough on its own to decide the match.
68' Abdelhamid Sabiri (Sampdoria) 1-1
Trailing 0-1 at home, Sampdoria drew level in the 68th minute through Abdelhamid Sabiri. The equalizer wiped out the deficit they had carried since the 27th minute and restored the match to 1-1, leaving the outcome open for the remainder of the second half.
