The match, goal by goal
2 of the 4 goals came after half-time.
3' Nico González (Fiorentina) 1-0
Fiorentina's Serie A Round 2 meeting with Lecce on August 27, 2023, was only three minutes old when Nico González put the hosts in front. His goal made it 1-0 and gave Fiorentina the early initiative at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. The match ended 2-2, however, so the advantage built on this opener did not hold up.
25' Alfred Duncan (Fiorentina) 2-0
In the 25th minute, Alfred Duncan doubled Fiorentina's lead to make it 2-0. With a two-goal cushion established in the first half, the home side appeared to be in firm control. Lecce scored twice after the break, though, and Duncan's goal ultimately went into the record of a 2-2 draw.
49' Hamza Rafia (Lecce) 2-1
Trailing by two at the interval, Lecce pulled one back in the 49th minute through Hamza Rafia. Coming shortly after the restart, the goal cut the deficit to 2-1 and gave the visitors a foothold in the match. It proved to be the first step toward the equalizer that followed.
76' Nikola Krstović (Lecce) 2-2
Nikola Krstović completed Lecce's comeback in the 76th minute, leveling the score at 2-2. The visitors had been two goals down in the first half and erased the deficit with a pair of second-half goals. No further scoring followed, leaving Fiorentina to settle for a draw after surrendering a two-goal lead.
