The match, goal by goal
3 of the 4 goals came after half-time.
16' Matteo Politano (Napoli) 1-0
Napoli's home meeting with Frosinone on Matchday 32 of Serie A, played on April 14, 2024, came to life in the 16th minute when Matteo Politano put the hosts in front. The first-half opener made it 1-0, and Napoli carried that advantage into the break. It was the first of four goals in a match that would see the lead change hands of momentum twice.
50' Walid Cheddira (Frosinone) 1-1
Trailing at the break, Frosinone needed only five minutes of the second half to draw level. Walid Cheddira scored in the 50th minute to make it 1-1, wiping out the lead Napoli had held since the first half. It would not be Cheddira's last say in the match.
63' Victor Osimhen (Napoli) 2-1
Thirteen minutes after being pegged back, Napoli were in front again. Victor Osimhen scored in the 63rd minute to restore the home side's lead at 2-1. Yet this goal, too, would prove insufficient to settle the match.
73' Walid Cheddira (Frosinone) 2-2
Walid Cheddira struck again in the 73rd minute, his second goal of the match, to bring Frosinone level for a second time. The score stood at 2-2, and that is how it finished. Napoli had led twice at home and been caught both times, while Frosinone left with a draw built on Cheddira's two goals.
