The match, goal by goal
3 of the 4 goals came after half-time.
36' Lorenzo Lucca (Udinese) 1-0
With the first half still goalless, Lorenzo Lucca put home side Udinese in front in the 36th minute. The goal broke the deadlock in this Serie A Matchday 16 meeting with Sassuolo at the Stadio Friuli, and Udinese went into the break 1-0 up. The match would eventually end 2-2, but it was Lucca who opened the scoring.
55' Roberto Pereyra (Udinese) 2-0
Ten minutes into the second half, Roberto Pereyra doubled Udinese's lead in the 55th minute to make it 2-0. The goal gave the home side a two-goal cushion and seemed to put them firmly in control. That margin, however, would not hold, as Sassuolo fought back later in the match.
75' Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo) 2-1
Trailing by two, Sassuolo pulled one back in the 75th minute through Domenico Berardi to make it 2-1. The away side's first goal of the afternoon cut the deficit to a single goal and reopened the contest. Berardi was not finished yet.
88' Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo) 2-2
In the 88th minute, Domenico Berardi struck for the second time in the match to bring Sassuolo level at 2-2. Coming 13 minutes after his first, the equalizer completed the visitors' recovery from two goals down. For Udinese, it meant a 2-0 lead had slipped away at home, and the match ended in a draw.
