1 of the 3 goals came after half-time.
2' Boulaye Dia (Lazio) 1-0
Lazio took the lead at home just two minutes after kickoff, with Boulaye Dia making it 1-0. The early goal put the hosts in front from the outset, but the advantage did not last, as Cagliari drew level in the 41st minute and the result was left to be settled in the second half.
41' Zito Luvumbo (Cagliari) 1-1
Trailing since the second minute, visitors Cagliari pulled level in the 41st minute through Zito Luvumbo. His goal made it 1-1 shortly before half-time, sending the teams into the second half on equal terms at the Stadio Olimpico.
76' Mattia Zaccagni (Lazio) 2-1
With the score still level at 1-1 in the second half, Mattia Zaccagni put Lazio back in front in the 76th minute. There were no further goals, so his strike to make it 2-1 proved to be the winner, securing a home victory for a side that had been pegged back before the break.
