The match, goal by goal
4 of the 5 goals came after half-time.
34' Nadir Zortea (Cagliari) 0-1
Cagliari, visiting the Stadio Ennio Tardini, opened the scoring in the 34th minute through Nadir Zortea. His goal broke the 0-0 deadlock and gave the away side a 0-1 lead in the first half. It was the first of five goals in what became an end-to-end contest.
62' Dennis Man (Parma) 1-1
Trailing 0-1 at the break, Parma drew level in the 62nd minute when Dennis Man made it 1-1. The goal erased the deficit the home side had carried since the first half. From that point the match turned into a contest for the go-ahead goal.
75' Răzvan Marin (Cagliari) 1-2
Thirteen minutes after the equaliser, Cagliari went back in front in the 75th minute through Răzvan Marin. His goal made it 1-2 and swung the momentum back to the away side after Parma had pulled level. The one-goal margin carried the game into its closing stages.
87' Hernani (Parma) 2-2
Down 1-2, Parma struck again in the 87th minute as Hernani levelled the score at 2-2. It was the second time the home side had come back from behind in the match. The parity, however, would not last long.
87' Roberto Piccoli (Cagliari) 2-3
In the same 87th minute as Hernani's equaliser, Roberto Piccoli put Cagliari ahead for a third time. His goal made it 2-3 and proved to be the winner. Parma, who had twice drawn level, were left with nothing, while Cagliari took the victory away from home.
