2' Alexis Saelemaekers (AC Milan) 1-0
Matchday 38 of Serie A at San Siro was only two minutes old when Alexis Saelemaekers put AC Milan in front. The early goal gave the home side a 1-0 lead almost from the outset. It would prove to be their only goal of the afternoon, as Milan went on to lose the match from that winning position.
20' Gennaro Borrelli (Cagliari) 1-1
Trailing 1-0 since the second minute, Cagliari drew level in the 20th through Gennaro Borrelli. The visitors had wiped out Milan's early lead well before half-time, restoring the score to 1-1. Borrelli's equaliser laid the groundwork for the comeback that followed after the break.
57' Juan Rodríguez (Cagliari) 1-2
With the match level at 1-1 into the second half, Juan Rodríguez struck in the 57th minute to put Cagliari ahead 1-2. It was the first time the visitors had led after falling behind early. The score held from there, making Rodríguez's goal the winner in a comeback victory at San Siro.
