3 of the 4 goals came after half-time.
9' Stefano Moreo (Pisa) 1-0
Home side Pisa broke the deadlock in the 9th minute of this Serie A Matchday 29 fixture, with Stefano Moreo making it 1-0. It was a lead Pisa would hold for the rest of the afternoon. That single goal was all that separated the sides through the first half, with the decisive swings still to come after the break.
52' Antonio Caracciolo (Pisa) 2-0
Seven minutes into the second half, Pisa doubled their advantage through Antonio Caracciolo, moving the score to 2-0 in the 52nd minute. Given that Cagliari would later pull only one back, this second goal proved to be the one that settled the result.
54' Antonio Caracciolo (Pisa) 3-0
Only two minutes later, Antonio Caracciolo struck again for his second of the match, making it 3-0 in the 54th minute. The quick-fire double left Cagliari three goals down early in the second half.
67' Leonardo Pavoletti (Cagliari) 3-1
Trailing by three, visitors Cagliari found a reply in the 67th minute when Leonardo Pavoletti made it 3-1. It turned out to be the final goal of the match, as Cagliari's fightback went no further and Pisa saw out a 3-1 home win.
