The match turned in just the third minute. Shinzo Koroki put Urawa Red Diamonds ahead for 0-1, giving the visitors the lead inside the opening exchanges at Shonan BMW Stadium Hiratsuka. From that point Shonan Bellmare were left chasing the game on their own ground, and Koroki's strike remained the only goal for a long stretch that followed.
