Trailing 0-1 since the 3rd minute, Al Rayyan SC finally drew level in the 89th minute to make it 1-1. The late equalizer rescued a draw for the home side in a match that had seemed to be slipping away. No further goals followed, and the game finished 1-1, with FC Goa denied at the death after protecting their early lead for so long.
