This goal: 0–1 → 0–2 · late extends the lead
Twenty-five minutes after taking the lead through an own goal, Athletic Club doubled it in the 85th minute through Aitor Paredes, making it 0-2. The second goal proved important: Real Betis pulled one back at the very end, but the two-goal cushion meant they could not draw level.
