The Matchday 1 Bundesliga meeting between VfB Stuttgart and SpVgg Greuther Fürth at the Mercedes-Benz Arena stayed goalless until the 30th minute, when Wataru Endo broke the deadlock. His opener gave the home side a 1-0 lead. Stuttgart never relinquished that advantage on the way to a 5-1 win, which makes Endo's strike the winning goal.
