This goal: 1–1 → 1–2 · go-ahead goal
Just six minutes after the equalizer, Marcus Thuram scored in the 78th minute to put Borussia Mönchengladbach ahead 1-2. The quick succession of goals turned the visitors' deficit, which had stood since the first half, into a lead. It was a lead, however, that they would not hold to the final whistle.
