This goal: 0–1 → 0–2 · extends the lead
Marius Bülter doubled FC Schalke 04's advantage in the 79th minute, making it 0-2. Up to that point the visitors had been protecting the one-goal lead gained from an own goal at the end of the first half, and Bülter's strike gave them breathing room late in the game. The score held, and VfL Bochum were beaten at home without finding the net.
