This goal: 1–0 → 2–0 · extends the lead
Only five minutes after the opener, Kerem Demirbay doubled Bayer Leverkusen's lead in the 20th minute to make it 2-0. Two goals in quick succession early in the first half left the home side in a commanding position. That two-goal cushion, however, would be eroded after the break.
