This goal: 1–0 → 2–0 · extends the lead
Only six minutes after the opener, Álex Grimaldo doubled Bayer Leverkusen's advantage in the 45th minute to make it 2-0. The quick second goal appeared to put the hosts firmly in control before the break. That two-goal cushion, however, would eventually disappear entirely.
