This goal: 1–0 → 2–0 · extends the lead
With Empoli holding a 1-0 advantage, Francesco Caputo doubled it in the 63rd minute to make it 2-0. The second-half goal gave the hosts a two-goal cushion for the remainder of the match. Given that Salernitana pulled one back late on, Caputo's strike ultimately proved to be the difference.
