The match, goal by goal
3 of the 6 goals came after half-time.
10' Pedro Romano (Kawasaki Frontale) 0-1
The opening goal came in the 10th minute, Pedro Romano putting the visiting Kawasaki Frontale in front at 0-1. It was the first of six goals scored at HANASAKA Stadium that afternoon, in front of 20,649 spectators. Cerezo Osaka were behind for the first time, and early.
43' Lucas Fernandes (Cerezo Osaka) 1-1
Trailing 0-1, Cerezo Osaka drew level through Lucas Fernandes in the 43rd minute. The home side had pulled the match back to 1-1 with the interval approaching. That parity, however, would not survive the first half.
45'+3 Kento Kitsuta (Kawasaki Frontale) 1-2
Kento Kitsuta struck in first-half added time, at 45+3, to restore Kawasaki Frontale's lead at 1-2. Arriving only minutes after Fernandes' equaliser, it undid Cerezo Osaka's recovery before the break. The teams went in with the visitors ahead.
48' Yota Omi (Cerezo Osaka) 2-2
The second half needed only three minutes to produce a reply. Yota Omi scored in the 48th for 2-2, Cerezo Osaka's second equaliser of the match. Having conceded in first-half added time, the home side had wiped out the deficit almost as soon as play resumed.
74' Yasuto Wakizaka (Kawasaki Frontale) 2-3
Yasuto Wakizaka broke the 2-2 deadlock in the 74th minute, putting Kawasaki Frontale in front for the third time at 2-3. The visitors never gave the lead up again, which made this the winning goal.
89' Yuto Ozeki (Kawasaki Frontale) 2-4
The last of the six goals came in the 89th minute. Yuto Ozeki doubled the margin for 2-4, leaving Cerezo Osaka barely any time to respond. Kawasaki Frontale saw out the away win at that score.
